Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote form takes six data points: gender, birth date, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term. That's sufficient for carriers to quote you. Your name, address and medical specifics come in only if you choose to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the rates carriers quote for your chosen health class. The carrier may confirm, improve or downgrade that class once it completes underwriting, adjusting your final premium accordingly. This website makes no offer of insurance or pledge of any specific rate.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name, then the system generates an application based on the quote you selected, moving to the carriers' secure platform. You're able to pause and return later, and your signature goes in electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
It varies by carrier, the coverage amount and your responses. Some carriers can decide immediately for qualifying applicants; each quote indicates whether an exam is required, conditional or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
Your term should span the years that would put your dependents in financial difficulty if you passed away: as long as a mortgage, until kids are independent, while a loan is outstanding. Longer terms have higher monthly costs but lock your rate in longer. The tool shows you 10-, 15-, 20-, 25- and 30-year rates side-by-side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool never requests contact information, we don't trade or share visit details, and we don't use cookies for tracking. Visit the privacy section to see exactly what is gathered and who has access.
